PACS web: "The popularity of open source software has been more evident in other industries and medical groups, but it may be growing in the medical imaging community. A new paper (J Digit Imaging 2002 Sep 26) describes OpenRIMS using open source in the development and dissemination of RIS and PACS software."
Det finns ett OSS PACS system som heter CDMedic PACS Web, som inkluderar AFNI, XMedcon, Amide, CTSim mfl.
"AFNI is a set of OSS programs for processing, analyzing, and displaying functional MRI (FMRI) data - a technique for mapping human brain activity"
"Computed Tomography is the technique of estimating the interior of objects from the measurements of radiation projected through the object. That radiation can be transmitted through the object such as in X-ray computed tomography or emitted from internal radiation sources as in nuclear medicine scans. CTSim simulates the process of transmitting X-rays through phantom objects. These X-ray data are called projections. CTSim reconstructs the original phantom image from the projections using a variety of algorithms. Additionally, CTSim has a wide array of image analysis and image processing functions"
